Distribute Nanomaterials: List a Portfolio You Do Not Manufacture
Distributors and sales agents list on nanoMani on exactly the same terms as manufacturers — one storefront, one catalogue upload, one approval by a person. What matters is that the listing is accurate about what you are selling and who made it.
How It Works
Exactly what happens, including the parts that are done by a person rather than by the software.
- 1
Apply as a seller
There is no separate distributor account type. You apply through the same seller application, and you say in it that you distribute rather than manufacture — that is a normal answer, not a disqualifying one.
- 2
Be explicit about provenance
List the manufacturer and the grade in the specification fields. A buyer choosing a material needs to know whose product it is; a listing that hides it will be queried at review and is the fastest way to lose a technical buyer's trust.
- 3
Upload the portfolio in one go
A distributor catalogue is usually the largest kind. The CSV import exists for exactly this: fill the template, upload once, and fix the rows it flags rather than typing three hundred products by hand.
- 4
Set your own prices and codes
You price your listings and you create your own coupon codes for negotiated accounts or volume thresholds. Nothing about your margin is visible to a buyer.
- 5
Fulfil and quote carriage
Orders arrive in your dashboard with the delivery address. You quote shipping and any applicable tax against the real consignment, invoice separately, ship and add tracking — whether the stock is in your warehouse or coming from your principal.
Built for Distributors & Agents
What the platform does today — and, where it matters, what it does not do yet.
Built for a large catalogue
Bulk CSV import with per-row validation, stock levels per listing, and low-stock email alerts — the tools that matter when the portfolio is measured in hundreds of lines rather than tens.
Your storefront, your brand
A public page with your name, logo, description, website link and full catalogue. Buyers deal with you, not with an unnamed reseller slot.
Reach outside your usual territory
A listing is visible to anyone who searches for the material. Where you can supply is your decision, expressed in the carriage you are willing to quote.
Account-specific pricing via codes
Percentage or fixed-value coupon codes with usage limits and expiry — the practical way to give a negotiated account its price without publishing it.
Approval that protects the honest
Every seller and listing is reviewed by a person. Relabelled material with an invented specification is what that review is for, and it is what makes an accurate listing worth something.
Terms agreed with a person
No fee is charged today, and there is no automated settlement — payment reaches nanoMani's gateway account and is remitted to you on terms agreed in writing. Read the sellers page for the full version before you list.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know before getting started.
Do you accept distributors and agents, or only manufacturers?
Both, on the same terms and through the same application. Distribution is how most laboratories actually buy, and a marketplace that excluded distributors would be a thinner catalogue pretending to be a purer one.
Do I have to say whose material it is?
Yes. Name the manufacturer and the grade in the listing. Technical buyers select on provenance as much as on price, and an unattributed specification reads as a specification nobody stands behind.
Can I list products I do not hold in stock?
Yes, if you can actually supply them and the stated stock and lead time are honest. What is not acceptable is a listing showing stock you do not have — the cost of that lands on a buyer with a deadline, and on every other seller here.
Is there a separate fee for resellers?
There is no fee for anybody today. When a transaction fee exists it will be published and agreed in writing, and it will not distinguish between manufacturer and distributor.
How do payments reach me?
By arrangement, as for every seller: the gateways settle to nanoMani's merchant accounts and each order is reconciled and remitted directly. There is no automatic split. If that is incompatible with how you trade, tell us before you list rather than after.
Can I represent a manufacturer exclusively in a territory?
Exclusivity is between you and your principal; nanoMani does not grant or enforce it, and does not restrict who else may list the same product. Your listing can state the territory you are appointed for.
Can I import my catalogue from an existing system?
If you can export it to CSV, yes. Map your columns onto the template, upload, and correct the rows that fail validation. There is no API integration today.
What sells best on a specialist marketplace?
Listings with a real specification. The buyers here compare grades, sizes and purities rather than headline prices, so the line that wins is usually the one with enough data on it to be evaluated at all.
Ready to get started?
nanoMani is early, and being early here means the first suppliers and the first listings shape what it becomes.
